All are welcome to share their original works and favorite pieces, or just to listen to others.=0D=0AThe Stothart Readings are held from noon-1 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month in the Hinckley Library Amphitheater. They're named for Rob Stothart, a former associate professor of English who helped launch the NWC Writers Series and contributes regularly to the readings.=0D=0AEach month, an open mic is set up for college and community participants to read their original writing or offer their interpretation of a favorite author.=0D=0AOver the years, poetry, essays, excerpts from favorite pieces of literature and more have been shared by readers from age 8 to 80. The list of participants includes nationally published authors, school children, community members, aspiring poets, NWC students, staff and faculty and many more.=0D=0AStothart Reading participants can add their names to a sign-up sheet immediately before the reading starts or just wait and take the podium after the scheduled readers are finished.=0D=0AThose who enjoy listening more than sharing are equally welcome.
